This time my group and I made a balsa wood bridge for a competition called MESA it had to be in-spec and follow these perimeters: Max length 40 cm, Max width 10 cm, Max height 21 cm, Min clearance 10 cm, Max span 25 cm, Max weight 95 grams. We used a CAD, computer added design, program called whitebox learning. We use different designs and specs to make the best bridge with the highest efficacy. Here is a data chart.
Here are also photos of the bridge in the website to its construction.

Here is some pictures and videos on the mesa day.
In the end the total weight was 30 grams and the capacity 63.32 pounds making the efficiency about 950 and that was a good score. But what I learned is how every piece of wood works together to make a strong structure and that every level and angle count because if I were to level the legs the structure would have last a lot longer and maybe won, but it was a good experience and I learned a lot.
